Shoe In

What's It Wednesday #140
Most women have a shoe fetish, I am not immune. Mine just happens to center around baby shoes. They are so tiny and adorable, I can't resist, especially when they are from family.

This year I wanted to get them out and try something a little different with them. This little T-strap got the glam treatment. Sporting a sparkling brooch and bracelet, it is so elegant. And how about that powder puff? Doesn't it look like one of those fashionable sixties hats?

This old button shoe was found at the antique store. It had been slightly bronzed and I love the way one button is undone. I took one of the dried roses my sweeties gave me and added it.

The faded color is just perfect. I added ribbon to each shoe so it can be hung.

This is another of my daughter's shoes with a pretty mother of pearl teething ring rattle. It was actually the first one I made, then you know I couldn't stop! Lol

I love taking the shoes out and using them, especially this one. It's blue for my precious little grandson. I can't wait for Christmas, maybe I'll do a shoe tree? Or some sweet vignettes around the house. It'll be a real shoe in!
Hugs,
Patti

My Little Pumpkins

What's It Wednesday #139

I truly believe that one of the best parts of being a mother is when I am helping to create fond memories for and with my darling little pumpkins. This starts with annual traditions. Every year we head over to our local pumpkin patch for a day of fun.

The kids get a big kick out of playing in the wild corn.

They absolutely love petting the farm animals. My daughter adores the ducks, rabbits and turkeys.

My Little Pumpkins would ride the horses all day long if I let them.

They look forward to shopping for their Pumpkin Patch outfits.

I too get to enjoy fond Fall memories as well. My Little Pumpkins make Fall memories a whole lot of fun.

What memories and traditions do/did you have for your Little Pumpkins?

Vignettes of Fall

What's It Wednesday #138
Living in South Florida where real fall colors are at a premium, I wanted to share this gorgeous arrangement my darling daughter and little grandson sent me, just because. I love the punch of robust color added to the softness of the peach roses and white hydrangeas. I actually spilled some of the water because I didn't think they were real!

Even though we stay green pretty much all year in Miami, we do love decorating for the seasons. This is a little vignette I put together for the entry table. Of course, I included some wheat and an acorn for good luck!

This little side table got the bright reds and oranges that are balanced by some classic blue and white. I think it's a great compliment to any décor.

Outside you'd be surprised what your local dollar store can yield. With a little bit of color blending my ten dollar investment reaped an arrangement fit to grace any home. I found the cornucopia at Goodwill for $2.00, yea!

This lovely arrangement was just the inspiration I needed to put me in the mood for Fall. Thank you my two sweeties!

Patti
